We love this sort of custom framing challenge and hand sewed down the quilt to a fabric mounted mdf board. The frame our client chose is a white washed ash frame and we covered the shadow box walls with matching materials. 

We thought the sleek modern frame design complements the nostalgic piece really well! We couldn't be happier being here in San Francisco as a real neighborhood frame shop. Now it is ready to getting installed onto a Murphy bed in our clients home.
