We are all about choices when it comes to custom picture framing here in San Francisco. On our walls in our frame shops in the Castro Neighborhood and in Hayes Valley’s neighborhood we offer hundreds of frame samples to look at, that’s what our customers love!
For these two wonderfully crafted art prints we used a fairly classic mat design: The antique Japanese painting got a mat with a black bevel that pulls your eye to the calligraphy and gives a nice separation between the discolored paper and the white mat. For the pen plotter piece we used a crispy 8ply mat and whitewash maple frame to keep the full focus on the art, where it should be.
