Object Framing at Underglass: Custom Shadowbox for African Spears

Object framing at Underglass is one of our art framing specialties and this shadowbox for African spears was a fun project for us. Our client loved a grainy wood frame and chose an ash satin black wood. He wanted the spears to be supported by antlers and wanted the spears to be removable. So we built a shelf-like block with magnets in them to be able to rest the spears on the antlers and keep them sturdy in place. The background and the blocks are and lined with a black linen, We love the contrast of the black and the silver-rust of the spears. Here is a link to our instagram story for this amazing shadowbox
