Abstract painting for good Monday framing project

We floated this beautiful abstract by @jkamine_art to show off the cool paper and movement in the piece and added a gold fillet to pull on the warmth and small amount of gold in the painting. Perfect piece of art for a framing project and to show off for nice start of the week!

Finding THE frame for a piece of ART – That’s what we’re all about!

That feeling when you find THE frame and it’s like that finish was made specifically for your piece of art, that’s what we’re all about! As always, framed with conservation materials, will last for generations to come! San Francisco’s Frame shop since 1982! Our old location on Church is Moving to Market Street in November!

Museum quality shadow box for an antique book

Wow, this antique book from 1887 really needed a new housing! So we custom built this shadow box for it not only to protect it from light, dust and moisture – we also made it shine in a gorgeous muted gold frame. There is almost no reflection with the museum quality glazing either! San Francisco […]

One way to frame a color photograph – keep it simple!

We just framed this amazing color print by photographer Stephanie Kulbach. We love this shot in the mirror with all its reflections and highlights and immediately thought we have to keep this frame design simple. A white wood frame, an 8-ply mat and a conservation framing glass that protects the print from fading. We love […]

1950’s Wallpaper framed!

We framed this wood panel with the original wallpaper from behind the bar of the house our client grew up in circa 1950’s!

We added a little bit of color with the frame itself to make the wall paper design stand out. We love it when our custom picture framing turns out so nice and a personal piece of sentimental value is preserved!
