Poster Framing In And From San Francisco!
Framing this poster from the Ween show in Oakland was so much fun! Thanks to GIGART in San Francisco for creating this amazing Uncut 34×24 inch WEEN silkscreen print! We felt inspired by all the movement in the illustration and framed the concert poster floating in a metallic shiny ornate frame that spins right into […]
Framing A Signed Lichtenstein Screen Print
Roy Lichtenstein signed this limited edition screen print from 1070 in pencil. We loved the limited color palette of black and white with a highlight of yellow and continued this in our custom frame design. Our double mat echoes these colors with a thin black and yellow core. The frame itself is industrial looking and […]
Classic Looking Frame For Travel Poster
Look at this classic looking frame we just finished for this travel poster! We picked up the brown – red colors from this poster print from Spain and build a custom frame with similar colors and a rustic looking painted silver bevel. For a classic, formal look we thought a white mat was the right […]
Comic Work Risograph in Glitter Frame
We think this risograph print is from a series called GIRLS, by Jenn Woodall. See more of this illustrator’s and comic creator’s work @funeralbeat . We loved that our client went with a glitter frame for this colorful art print and the glazing we suggested is a Museum Quality Optium, that cuts out most of […]
Contemporary Hawaiian Art Framed
We love the soft palate, stylistic figures in Jack Soren’s art! Check out @jacksoren , this wave-surfing, mural-painting artist, inspired by O’ahu’s North Shore! We framed his beautiful art in a whitewash maple art frame and when you zoom in you can see the detailed texture of the art we tried to pick up on […]
Happy Cinco De Mayo From Underglass
Happy Cinco De Mayo from Underglass ! We wanted to share an event that is happening today in San Francisco in support of Carnaval SF’s Cinco De Mayo Celebration. Carnaval San Francisco, with roots in the Mission District since 1978, has never had a brick-and-mortar space to call its own. Since 2009, we have been […]
Document, Certificate or Award Frames – We Have The Right Choices For You
We are always happy to see all the exciting art we custom frame here at our San Francisco Frame Shops. When we got this Certificate honoring Percy E. Vance for his service in the Armed Forces of the United States, signed by Joe Biden, President of the United States, we wanted to make it special. […]
Horizon Line In Painting As Frame Design Inspiration
When we saw this relaxing painting with the skinny horizon line we knew that line was our frame design inspiration. The custom frame we chose frames this Cape Cod art on canvas perfectly. We love how the warm wooden color and skinny face of the floater frame work so well! Underglass Custom Picture Framing in […]
Iphone Photo Mounted And Framed
Our client had this iphone photo mounted on aluminum and we framed a textured metallic colored floater frame. We created a slightly wider gap between photo and frame to create more space. This custom picture frame design offers both, a strong, traditional look with its finish and a modern feel because it is a photo […]
When A Frame Lets The Art Be The Focus
We love John Paul Fauves art! This painting has a lot of thin white strokes, so we continued the frame design with a thin white frame and let the art be the focus! At Underglass Custom Picture Framing in San Francisco we are proud to be a part of great community of artists, galleries and […]
